Kitchen and Cabinet Refinishing

Kitchen cabinet refinishing throughout Dunedin, Palm Harbor and Pinellas County. Doors and drawer fronts are removed, degreased, sanded, primed and sprayed to a durable finish built for daily kitchen use, at a fraction of replacement cost.
Replacing kitchen cabinets is one of the most expensive renovations a homeowner can take on. Refinishing the cabinets you already have gets you the same fresh look for a fraction of the cost — and usually in less than a week. The process matters more here than almost any other painting work. Kitchen cabinets take more abuse than any other surface in the house — grease, heat, water, daily handling. We degrease every door and frame, sand to bare or near-bare surface, fill dings, prime with a bonding primer made for cabinets, and spray a durable finish that levels smooth instead of showing brush marks. Most projects take 4–7 days from start to finish. We remove the doors and drawer fronts, finish them in our shop, and paint the boxes in your kitchen with the work area masked off so you can keep using the space. New hardware is easy to add — fresh pulls and handles make a refinish feel even more like a new kitchen. If you're considering a kitchen update in Palm Harbor, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, or nearby, cabinet refinishing is usually the highest-impact, lowest-cost move you can make. We'll come look at your cabinets, talk through colors and finishes, and tell you honestly whether refinishing makes sense for your kitchen.

Questions

Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing Questions

Do you paint kitchen cabinets?

Yes. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are removed, prepared, primed and finished with a durable sprayed coating designed for regular kitchen use.

How long does cabinet refinishing take?

Most kitchens run four to seven days from start to finish. You can use the kitchen for much of that time, since the doors are finished off site and the boxes are done in stages.

Will the finish hold up to daily kitchen use?

Yes, when the preparation is right. Degreasing, sanding and a bonding primer are what make the topcoat last. Decades of cooking residue is the single most common reason a cabinet finish fails.

Can any cabinets be refinished?

Most solid wood and wood-veneer cabinets refinish very well. Some thermofoil and laminate doors will not hold a coating reliably. We check the material during the estimate and tell you honestly if refinishing is not the right call.
